Euraps Young Plastic Surgeons Traineeship

Open to: European citizens with speciality in Plastic Surgery, maximum age is 37
Benefits: €1.500 for the one-month scholarships and € 3.500 for the three-month scholarships

There are five scholarships available in order to foster and encourage the training in Plastic Surgery in Europe, through a one or three month scholarship in a European Centre of Plastic Surgery (see Institutes) or in a department run by a EURAPS member.

Eligibility:

* Candidates have to be European citizens (Eastern European Countries included).
* They must have obtained their speciality in Plastic Surgery (or Board).
* The maximum age is 37 years. Evidence that the candidate has not had his/her 38th birthday must be submitted (photocopy of the passport).

Benefits:

* There will be one-month and three-month scholarships available. The amount is €1.500 for the one-month scholarships and € 3.500 for the three-month scholarships.
* The scholarships will be paid in two distinct phases: half before the commencement of the scholarship and the other half upon receipt of a report (2.000 words approximately) written by the host of the Institute to the EURAPS Secretary General at the end of the visit and considered satisfactory. In the case of a negative report, the second part of the scholarship will not be paid.

Application process:

* Letter written by the candidate indicating the purpose of his/her visit and the Centres where he/she wishes to spend the scholarship.
* C.V + proof of thesis (ISBN-code, if available)
* Letter of recommendation from the Sponsor (EURAPS Full Member) emphasizing the reason of his choice of this particular candidate.

4 copies of the aforementioned documents must arrive at the the EURAPS Central Office (G 04.122), Heidelberglaan 100, 3584 CX Utrecht, The Netherlands before December 1st, each year.
