EUROPRIX Multimedia Awards

The EUROPRIX Multimedia Awards are Europe’s contest for young professionals and students who work on innovative projects in the field of e-contents and design – using whichever multimedia channel or platform.

Projects can be submitted in 9 categories and three special awards:

1. Online / Web Projects – All web and internet contents and applications, especially those showing the potential of broadband experience demonstrating high interactivity, global connection, instant and up-to-date communication;
2. Offline Projects / Interactive DVD – Classic and future multimedia projects with a strong emphasis on telling a story in an emotional, expressive and media rich way;
3. Mobile Contents & Applications – Innovative contents and applications using the potential of compact, mobile and communication-intensive platforms focusing on new multimedia solutions;
4. Games – Highly entertaining contents for play and fun involving interaction and giving value to the users;
5. Computer Graphics & Design – Visually explosive contents transforming reality and seducing users into virtual space of the cyber world;
6. Content Tools and Interface Design – Powerful content tools, content management systems and technological innovations concerning new ways in interface design;
7. Interactive Installations – Contents for new platforms and fully digitized environments with high levels of interactivity.
8. Online & Digital Video / TV – Contents for the new video & TV experience of the fully digitized future involving the user;
9. Animations – Serial stories and new virtual worlds using digital technologies in innovative ways.

Europrix Special Awards:
– Innovative multimedia concept
– Unfinished brilliant projects, smart new ideas & sketches of exciting visions with digital technologies.
– GRAZ Special Award for the project with the best business potential
– STYRIA Special Award for the most creative design

Eligibility
– students, young content creators and multimedia producers under 30;
– students from the 27 EU Member States or the EFTA, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, FYR Macedonia, Israel, Montenegro, Serbia, and Turkey;
– those who are working on an outstanding, innovative and creative project.

The benefits of participating in the Top Talent Awards are:
* Invitation for the 30 nominated finalist teams (2 people per team) to the EUROPRIX Multimedia Festival in Graz, Austria (mid November 2010 – costs for travels, room & board are fully covered) and to partner events all across Europe;
* Opportunity for the Europrix special award winner to work with some renowed international business experts;
* Networking and co-operation possibilities with top companies in the business and young creative designers;
* Promotion of the best teams at well-known events and universities throughout Europe;
* The nominated teams will take the centre stage of the special TTA exhibition in the Technical Museum in Vienna (82.000 visitors).

Submission procedure
All interested applicants should submit their project via online registration, filling the online application form.

The submission deadline is 1st July 2010.
