The London School of Economics and Political Science Research on South Eastern Europe (LSEE) organizes Research Conference on “Regional Policy and Decentralization in South East Europe”
10 – 11 May 2010 Zagreb, Croatia
Call for: papers
This conference is designed to explore the implementation of regional development and decentralization policies in South East Europe, the interaction between them, and their effectiveness in different political and institutional environments. Will these policies contribute to strengthening the ongoing process of Europeanisation, or might they rather deepen localisation and fragmentation of political and economic systems? The conference seeks to address these issues with a focus on South East Europe, although contributions covering other European regions are also welcome.
Contributions are invited from scholars in all fields of the social sciences.
Interested applicants should submit an abstract (no more than 500 words in length) by 26 February 2010 to the following address:
London School of Economics and Political Science
or by email to: email@example.com and EuroInst.LSEE@lse.ac.uk
Travel and accommodation for up to three nights will be paid by the organisers for one presenter of each accepted paper. A buffet lunch will be provided on each day of the conference. A conference dinner for all participants, provided by the organisers, will take place on the evening of 10 May.
