Stiftung Niedersachsen work stipends for Media Art at Edith Russ Site for Media Art 2010

The Edith Russ Site for Media Art awards three six-months work stipends for 2010. The 10.000 € stipends are sponsored by Stiftung Niedersachsen.
The Edith Russ Site for Media Art Stipend lasts for six months (July-December 2010) and cannot be extended. The artist is required to stay in Oldenburg for at least one month during the duration of the stipend. There is an apartment for the artist in the site’s guest house, which can be reserved by appointment. The artist will be integrated into the site’s activities and required to participate in the site’s program for instance with lectures, workshops, artist discussions etc.
The Edith Russ Site for Media Art supports a broad spectrum of media art such as NetArt, Sound, Video and further innovative projects dedicated to a content-driven analysis of media. This institution is dedicated to addressing current questions on media art on many levels. Exhibitions and series of presentations are regularly given by artists and theorists.
Documents required for application
– completed application form ( founded here after registration);if the form does not have enough space you may send extra pages
– documentation of artistic work (can partly be uploaded): photos (max. 24 x 33 cm incl. mat) and / or slides and / or catalogues (max. 2), for video projects: DVD, CD-Rom, VHS or Mini-DV (max. 15 min.), For CD-ROM and Internet projects: CD-ROM und URLs, no originals
Guidelines
1.Applications must be sent by February 28, 2010 (date of postmark) following the online application. Late and unreadable entries will not be accepted.
2.Only signed applications will be accepted.
3.Only materials as listed above will be accepted. No originals.
4.Only applications for artists will be accepted. No institutions.
5.Only one entry per person, per year will be accepted.
It is not required that the project / artwork be finished within the six month stipend.
