Complutense University of Madrid

The Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) is one of the oldest universities in the world founded in 1499. According to the university rankings, the Complutense University ranks as the top public university in Spain. The range of educational degrees offered at the Complutense University is one of the most complete in Europe and includes a wide variety of specialty areas. The degrees are grouped into five areas of knowledge: Arts and Humanities, Sciences, Health Sciences, Social and Legal Sciences, and Engineering.

Exchange Programmes

The Complutense has cooperation agreements with a great many universities abroad. Agreements have been signed with Europe, America, Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Australia.

ERASMUS, LEONARDO DA VINCI, TEMPUS, ERASMUS MUNDUS, “JEAN MONNET” PROGRAMME.

Latin American Programmes:
ALFA PROGRAMME, ALBAN PROGRAMME

Grants

The Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores y de Cooperación (Ministry for Foreign Affairs) and
the Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional (AECI) (Spanish Aid and Development Agency) invite applications each year for different grant programmes for Spanish and foreign citizens.
