Middle East Technical University (METU) is a public technical university located in Ankara, Turkey. It was founded in 1956 and consists of 5 faculties. The research and education conducted by the university has an emphasis on engineering and natural sciences. It currently hosts 23,000 undergraduate as well as graduate students, out of which over 1,500 are international students from nearly 80 different countries. The language of instruction at METU is English.
