Description
Ford Motor Company, a global corporation and world leader in corporate citizenship, and 92nd Street Y, the world’s first global Jewish community and cultural center, are announcing the 2016 Ford Motor Company International Fellowship of 92nd Street Y. The program includes a three-week residency in New York City and is designed to enhance the efforts of emerging leaders in communities throughout the world.
During the residency that will take place from 25 May-16 June 2016, Ford Fellows take classes in areas including nonprofit management strategy and leadership training at Columbia University’s Picker Center for Executive Education. The academic curriculum is complemented by visits to model nonprofits in New York City and meetings with academic, business and government leaders.
Eligibility
In order to be eligible for this fellowship you must meet the following criteria:
- Be a community leader engaged in the nonprofit sector, either professionally or as a volunteer.
- Be living and working in one of the 2016 participating countries: Bangladesh, Brazil, China, Cuba, India, Israel, Jordan, Mozambique, Russia, Detroit, Michigan (USA).
- Be at least 21 years old ( by June 1,2016).
- Be fluent in English.
Fellowship
The fellowship covers airfare, accommodation, food, transportation, instruction and other program-related expenses as well as a small stipend.

- Two letter of recommendation (that must be sent directly by your references).
