Summer School for IT and Graphic Design Macedonia 2010
For awarding up to 120 scholarships for IT education of young people in Semos Education – Skopje
This call is opened for young people, age 15 to 30 from Macedonia which are:
* working or volunteering in NGOs
* unemployed young individuals willing to contribute in youth organization on a voluntary basis with their newly gained knowledge.
* university and school students
The scholarships will be focused in the fields of graphic design, web design and Microsoft system administration. The project implementation period is July-August 2010 and BCYF is ready to provide 90% of the scholarship costs for education in:
* Adobe Photoshop CS4 – basic or advanced level courses
* Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 – basic or advanced level courses
* Adobe Flash CS4 – basic or advanced level courses
* Adobe Illustrator CS4 – basic or advanced level courses
* Maintaining and Implementing Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008
In the selection process for approving an application, recommendations from youth leadership organizations or active involvement in NGO, will be considered as additional criteria. Participation fee will be 1000 denars for Adobe and 3000 denars for Microsoft courses which will cover for books and training materials that are essential for successful training. The education process will be conducted by professional trainers from Semos Education, a licensed training partner for Microsoft and Adobe.
The aim of the action is to support local active youth and youth organizations by giving them the opportunity for train their staff and improve labor market access opportunities for unemployed young people into IT and graphic and web design education.
