Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra

Constantine the Philosopher University (UKF) is a public university in Nitra. Nitra is known for the traditions of Old Slavonic education and culture of the Great Moravia period. The university is named after one of the most important personalities in the history of Nitra and Slovakia – Constantine the Philosopher. UKF is providing study programmes in education, arts, social, human and natural sciences and health care. The university has  a 50-year long tradition in teacher in the Hungarian language as well as a 13-year tradition of educating social workers for the Roma ethnicity. UKF is the only Slovak university that prepares professionals to operate in Roma communities. With more than 14,000 full-time and part-time students, UKF belongs to the larger Slovak universities.

UKF puts much emphasis on international co-operation in all fields of study and research. Activities are carried out through international projects, such as TEMPUS, LLP (ERASMUS, GRUNTVIG, LINGUA), CEEPUS, Leonardo da Vinci, COST and through the co-operation with such international institutions as the British Council, the Goethe Institute, the French Institute, the Fulbright Commission, DAAD, and others.

Degree Study

University is offering Bachelor, Master and Doctoral Study in wide range of study progammes. Supporting staff offering counselling service referring all matters of your stay, welcoming environment of domestic students. International student interested in degree study at Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra must download, fill in and send the International student application form  to the address of the International Relations Office before the deadline: February 21. At Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra each year growth the number of students coming from abroad.  Supporting staff make it easier to apply by offering the help and support from International Relations Office  using  a Buddy system for all infcoming intenational students.
