Description
In the framework of the 2013 European Year of Citizens, the PES Group in the Committee of the Regions (CoR) has launched on 1 March the sixth edition of its annual photo competition. The Competition is organised under the theme: “Europe, I’ve got something to tell you” and challenges amateur photographers to capture in a photo their expectations from Europe. It might be about building Europe together, being a European citizen, or showing, how you envisage your place in Europe. Find your inspiration HERE!
Eligibility
In order to enter the competition, you must fulfill the following conditions:
- be resident in one of the 27 EU Member States (but participants of any nationality can enter);.
- be 18 years old or older at the moment when you enter the competition;
- Only one entry per participant is allowed;
- For amateur only! Professional photographers and anyone else working in the field of photography will be automatically excluded from the competition.
Awards
- First prize– A 3 days trip for two persons to Brussels, capital of Europe, and photographic/electronic equipment worth 2000€.
- Second prize– A 3 days trip for two persons to Brussels, capital of Europe, and photographic/electronic equipment worth 1500€.
- Third prize– A 3 days trip for two persons to Brussels, capital of Europe, and photographic/electronic equipment worth 500€.
- Prize of the public – NEW A 3 days trip for two persons to Brussels, the capital of Europe, and photographic/electronic equipment worth 500€.
How to enter
Before you enter the competition please take the following elements into account:
- Your photo must be uploaded in JPEG format at 800 pixels along the longest edge.
- Your image file must be named with your first and last names, following this structure: firstname-lastname.jpg (example: mary-smith.jpg).
- Keep a high resolution copy of your photo for later. Winners will have to supply a printable copy of their photo at 20×30 cm.
