CICOPS Scholarships at the University of Pavia, Italy

Description

In order to promote international co-operation particularly with developing countries, the University of Pavia and EDiSU (Institute for the Rights to University Studies) are offering for the year 2014 12 scholarships for visiting scholars for a period of stay of 4 to 10 weeks at the University of Pavia.

Eligibility

  • Scholarships are designed for both junior and senior members of Universities in developing countries or members of major research centres and international organizations and institutions with specific interest in the field of development studies.
  • Applicants must have at least two years of either teaching experience or activity in the international organizations and institutions.
  • CICOPS scholarships are foreseen for research collaboration in the short period in order to encourage mobility of researchers from developing countries.
  • Applicants enrolled in Doctoral or Postgraduate Course at an Italian University are not eligible to apply. Each scholar will be asked to be available for contacts with staff and students.

Scholarships

  • Scholarships includes travel, board, lodging expenses and a pocket money of 150 euro per week.
  • The period of stay should take place between the following dates: January 7th – July 18th 2014 and September 15 th – December 19th, 2014.

  • Curriculum vitae possibly in European format with a list of publications.
  • Invitation letter from the Professor or researcher with whom she/he intends to collaborate.
