This training course will encourage the development of a critical, democratic and European Citizenship and in doing so, supporting youth worker in the implementation of youth projects with a European Citizenship dimension.

Aim of the training course

The training course on European Citizenship aims to support the professional development of youth workers and youth leaders by extending their critical understanding of European Citizenship, exploring and experiencing its potential and by enabling them to recognise and integrate European Citizenship in their youth work.

Objectives
The training course puts into practice priority 1 (European Citizenship) of the Youth in Action programme, by aiming to:
• To critically explore the meaning, relevance and implications of European citizenship in youth work in all its dimensions;
• To promote and facilitate the active use of programmes and structures in support of youth work on European Citizenship, including Youth in Action;
• To experiment and explore the potential of European Citizenship for active democratic change in society;
• To associate the participants with the current discourse on European Citizenship (its concepts, formal meanings and expressions)
• To exemplify the connection between European Citizenship, Human Rights, Democracy and ICL and the underlying values.

Costs

This project is financed by the Youth in Action Programme. Being selected for this course, all costs (accommodation, travel, visa, etc.) relevant to participation in the course will be covered by the NAs involved in this project – except a participation fee which varies from call to call and country to country.
Please contact your NA to learn more about the financial details, and how to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses.

      We cannot possibly help you anymore. If your NA is not responding, be persistent and try to contact them again. Maybe they are on a summer break.

    I am interested in this conference as I am a leader of one of the NGOs in BiH, Sarajevo. I noticed that call is open for leaders till 30 years of age. I am 31 years old, is that means I am to old to apply;)?

  6. Hi I would like to say that I am searching for a NA in my country (Armenia). However, I tried to find NA but no one knows to whom I may apply. So I am wondering is there any NA in Armenia?

  7. Hi. I am from Kosovo and kindly ask from you to give any information regarding application for this Training Course. I can't find Kosovo NA or any other information related to that, or maybe because it is part of Eastern Europe we don't need to contact NA??? Or can we apply at all!?

    1. could you read CAREFULLY the bold part in the post under the part COST, there is of course information for you, the HOST NA means the NA that is organizer of the training, not the NA in Kosovo.

  8. Hello, I am from Georgia and I have great wish to take part in this action. Although I have sent mail to NA of my country and they dont respond me. What can I do in this case? I am ready to do my best to take part in this project.
