Description

Associazione Culturale Link launches the third edition of Scriptamanent in the frame of the project “Scriptamanent, volunteerism for active citizenship“. The third edition is supported by Europe for Citizens program and foresees meetings between organizations promoting international volunteerism, meetings of ex volunteers, conferences and events.

Scriptamanent is an international writing competition open to young people who have done voluntary experience abroad. This is the third edition of the competition which has been launched for the first time in 2009 by Associazione Culturale Link.

Eligibility

This competition is open to citizens with no age limit, resident in one of the European countries, who has done any kind of volunteer service abroad. This edition will especially focus on international  voluntary work as a form of European active citizenship.

Prize

The authors of the best works will be selected to participate to the final event in Italy.  All the costs will be covered by the project. The Jury will select the best entry and the author will be awarded with a prize consisting in cultural goods (books, dvd, etc.) about European Citizenship.

Application

Participants should submit a written piece inspired by the experience, just register on the competition website and when the account is created and the user logged in, the “TRY IT” button should be available to submit the story. It can be written in the form of reportage, story, diary, poetry, etc. The work can be published directly by the author, after registration on the website. The texts can also be sent in the format WORD (.doc, .docx) until the 02.05. 2012 by  e-mail to: scriptamanent@europe.comThis e-mail address is being protected from spambots. The work has to be long at least two pages (one page is made of 1800 characters) but no longer than 5 pages. The works need to be sent together with the entry form, completely filled-in.  In case of missing entry form, the work is going to be excluded from the competition.

The works can be written in one of these languages: Italian, English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Latvian, Dutch, Romanian and Catalan.
