Climate Policy Creative Fellowship 2024

Open to: Experienced creative storytellers from any country who work in fields such as theater, poetry, prose, film, television, podcasts, games, and more.  Participants must also be able to attend in-person workshops in London.

Benefits: The fellowship includes a £1750 stipend, split into two installments, paid to selected fellows for attending seven days of workshops. Additionally, all participants invited to the introductory workshop receive an honorarium of £100. The fellowship also covers travel costs for those based outside London and access support for those in need.

Description:

The Climate Policy Creative Fellowship 2024 is an innovative, interdisciplinary program designed to bring together the worlds of science, art, and policy. The fellowship’s goal is to empower creative professionals with the skills and knowledge necessary to craft compelling narratives that can help policymakers make more informed decisions about climate change. The fellowship involves workshops, collaborations, and creative exploration, focusing on improving communication strategies around climate risk to influence policy decisions. This is an opportunity for creative storytellers to utilize their talents to address the critical global issue of climate change by engaging policy audiences in a novel and impactful way.

Eligibility:

This fellowship is targeted at experienced creative professionals (such as writers, directors, designers, etc.) who have a developed sense of their creative practice, with 5-10 years of experience and a demonstrated history of projects in their field. Applicants should be motivated to explore how their storytelling skills can engage audiences on complex subjects, like climate change, in a way that goes beyond traditional artistic expression. Previous experience in climate-related projects is not required, but an interest in contributing to the climate space is essential. The fellowship is also open to international applicants, but all applicants must be able to travel to London for in-person sessions.
