History Festival “War or Peace” in Berlin 2018

Description

2018 marks the centenary of the end of the First World War. On the occasion of its remembrance, the Federal Agency for Civic Education and the Maxim Gorki Theatre Berlin invite international guests and artists to explore questions of “War or Peace?” throughout history.

From 17th to 21st October 2018, over 300 young international participants will be invited to Berlin to take part in the festivals’ Campus programme. Selected participants will take part in a three-day workshop, get to know interesting people from all over the world and engage in a rich and diverse festival programme.

Eligibility

The application is open for everyone aged 18-30 years with a strong interest or professional background in history education, remembrance work, public or urban history, peace and conflict studies, arts or related subjects.

Benefits

  • The German Federal Agency for Civic Education will reimbursement for your expenses for travel expenses on the basis of an allowance (one-off payment);
  • In Berlin, you will be provided with a detailed map and public transport tickets to be able to get back and forth between festival venues and the hostel;
  • You will be provided with accommodation during the festival (17 – 21 October 2018).
