Fellowship: EUR 3,000 per month
Description
Chatham House, the Royal Institute of International Affairs, is an independent policy institute based in London. Their mission is to help build a sustainable secure, prosperous and just world. Founded in 1920, Chatham House engages governments, the private sector, civil society and its members in open debate and confidential discussion on the most significant developments in international affairs.
The fellowship is intended to provide an opportunity for the next generation of scholars to advance their knowledge of post-Soviet politics, develop research skills, contribute to Chatham House research, and build links with policy and academic communities in the UK, Germany and the EU more broadly. The fellowship is aimed at future leaders, researchers and opinion-makers in the early part of their careers. The fellows spend nine months working at Chatham House with the Russia and Eurasia Programme team. During this time they will conduct a research project of their own design relating to the politics, economies and societies of the post-Soviet region. In the course of the fellowship, the scholars will conduct research trips to the region associated with the project. Two fellowships are available. One will run from February to October 2016 and a second will run from September 2016 to June 2017.
