ICUA/UNESCO IITE Youth Innovation Contest 2024: Collaborating to Improve and Protect our Planet

Open to: Youth aged 11-17 from Belarus, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.

Description:

The ICUA/UNESCO IITE Youth Innovation Contest 2024 encourages young people to propose creative ideas that contribute to addressing global environmental challenges. Participants are invited to submit projects focused on protecting marine and terrestrial ecosystems, building sustainable human settlements, and responding to climate change. This contest aims to inspire youth to become future leaders in green innovation while showcasing their talents in science, technology, and creativity.

Eligibility:

Open to two age groups:

  • Children’s Group: 5-10 years old
  • Youth Group: 11-17 years old
    Participants must come from eligible countries, including Belarus, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.

Benefits:

The contest offers the following awards:

  • Grand Award: Future Leaders in Green Innovations (up to 20 winners, with the opportunity to attend the closing ceremony in China).
  • Special Awards: Eco-protection, Sci-Tech Innovation, and Remarkable Presence (up to 20 winners each with memorable prizes).
  • Merit Awards: Talents of Sci-Tech Innovation, Pioneers of Environmental Protection, and Humanistic Care (unlimited winners receiving electronic certificates).

How to apply?

Applicants must submit their work in English or Chinese in the form of a PDF document (up to 20MB) and an MP4 video (up to 200MB). Submissions should be sent via email.
