Description:

The Commonwealth PhD Scholarships offer an exceptional opportunity for talented and motivated individuals from least developed and vulnerable states to pursue doctoral degrees at UK universities. The scholarship aims to contribute to the development needs of the eligible countries by supporting the skills and research capacity of their citizens. These scholarships are intended for those who could not otherwise afford to study in the UK and are aimed at fostering long-term sustainable development in these regions.

Eligibility:

The Commonwealth PhD Scholarships are open to citizens or permanent residents of an eligible Commonwealth country. Applicants must not be currently enrolled for a PhD or an MPhil leading to a PhD. They must demonstrate the academic and research potential required for a PhD study, along with a clear and relevant development-related objective. Candidates must hold a first degree of at least upper second class (2:1) honors or a second-class degree and a relevant postgraduate qualification.
