Description:
Fumetto is collecting stories on the topic of wealth under the title “RICH”: What does wealth look like? Who is rich? And when? We don’t talk about money. But: what we can’t talk about, we should draw! Or is it not about money at all? But about health, love and time? Are it quiet, small moments that contain the wealth of an entire universe, or is it a wealth of experiences and emotions that ultimately counts?
We are looking forward to a rich harvest from the pens, pencils and brushes of artists from near and far, to a cornucopia of comics and a glittering and sparkling exhibition at the next Fumetto Comic Festival from April 5th to 13th, 2025!
Eligibility:
- Submissions start: December 1, 2024, Deadline: December 31, 2024, Nomination process and judging: January / February 2025, Exhibition: Fumetto Comic Festival Lucerne 5th–13th April 2025
- The participation of school classes is welcome.
Conditions of Participation
- Submissions are exclusively digital and from December 1st via upload at vergleich.fumetto.ch possible (only one participation per person)
- File: The file must be uploaded in jpg format, at least 3000px wide
- Format: Originally A4 or A3; Intermediate formats are not accepted
- Layout: Landscape formats only; Portrait formats cannot be accepted
- Form: Comics only (multi-picture stories)
- Number of pages: maximum four pages (only 1 comic)
Benefits:
The competition is part of the Fumetto International Comix Festival in Lucerne, Switzerland.
The award ceremony will take place during opening weekend. The winning works will be presented later presented at the festival in the Alte Kaserne Winterthur. During the Fumetto Comic Festival, the audience has the opportunity to vote on the audience award. This will take place after the festival as part of the Vernissage in Winterthur.
Prizes:
Fumetto awards three prizes per category, as well as a prize for the best scenario across all nominations. Visitors to the festival determine an audience award.
- In Category 1 (ages 18 and up), the cash prizes are:
- 1st Place: CHF 1,111
- 2nd Place: CHF 888
- 3rd Place: CHF 666
- The Scenario Prize is CHF 444.
- In Categories 2 (ages 13 to 17) and 3 (ages up to 12), non-cash prizes (material prizes) are awarded.
- The Audience Award is also a material prize.
