Description:

The fellowship, named the U.S.-Pacific Resilience and Adaptation Fellowship Program, is funded by the U.S. Department of State. United State -pacific-resilience-adaptation-fellowship-program-scholarship core focus is to develop leaders in mitigation against climate change in the South Pacific. The PhD Candidates would engage in interdisciplinary research at the University of South Pacific. They will work with the U.S. partner universities like Stanford University and Georgetown University.

The U.S.-Pacific Resilience and Adaptation Fellowship Program represents initiative aimed at supporting PhD students. This program emphasizes essential research on climate change. It fosters collaboration among scholars across Pacific regions.

Successful candidates will receive funding for studies. They will also participate in workshops.

These workshops will enhance research skills and promote knowledge sharing. Applicants must demonstrate strong commitment to addressing climate-related challenges.

U.S.-Pacific Resilience and Adaptation Fellowship connects scholars with mentors.

These mentors guide research projects. They provide insights into best practices in resilience. Additionally they support students in building networks within academic and policy circles.

Eligibility:

  1. Citizens of any one of the 12 USP member countries.
  2. Have a master’s degree by thesis or with research components in a relevant field.
  3. Start full-time research soon.
  4. Having five years of relevant experience and also research publications.

Benefits:

  • Annual tuition, general service and health fees.
  • Living allowance of FJ$24000, book allowance of FJ$750, laptop and other benefits.
  • Dependent allowance and research grant.
