Description:

The Chevening Gurukul Fellowship for Leadership and Excellence is the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office’s flagship fellowship program for India. This fellowship aims to equip outstanding Indian professionals with the knowledge, skills, and networks to drive change and innovation in their home country. The 12-week program takes place at the University of Oxford, one of the world’s leading academic institutions.

Fellows will engage in a series of lectures, seminars, workshops, and study visits designed to foster leadership, strategic thinking, and innovation. The program covers various themes including governance, policy formulation, and leadership challenges. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to meet and interact with senior leaders, policymakers, and thinkers from around the world, enhancing their professional and personal development.

The fellowship is conducted in-person at the University of Oxford, providing fellows with a rich, immersive experience in a prestigious academic environment.

Eligibility:

  • Nationality: Indian citizens
  • Profession: Mid-career professionals from any field (public, private, or NGO sectors)
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of work experience
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Language: Proficiency in English
  • Requirements: Strong leadership potential, a track record of professional excellence, and a clear vision for contributing to India’s development.
