Description:

Al Qasimi Foundation Internship Program provides undergraduate and graduate students with an opportunity to be involved in professional work on public policy for a period of up to three months. They have meaningful projects to work on, such as literature reviews. Fieldwork and data analysis are some of the integral components of the impact that the Foundation brings to the Ras Al Khaimah community. Policy briefs or creative work that showcase the output of each intern’s work is published on the Foundation’s website. This program also includes cross-cultural exchange. On the other hand, collaboration with international scholars is also an integral part of the program.

The Al Qasimi Foundation Internship Program seeks to provide students with a supportive, respectful learning environment. They are given professional working experience while working with linguistically diverse international multilingual staff. Effort is put into ensuring that the interns are exposed to various aspects of the organizations. Assigned projects offer hands-on opportunities through which students can contribute and make a positive input in the work and impact that the Foundation makes in the community.

Eligibility:

Applicants must be:

Current student or recent graduate from an accredited university

If English is not the primary language, then a minimum TOEFL iBT score of 85 or an IELTS score of 6.5 is required.

Transcripts or degrees which show relevant coursework in areas such as education. Public health, urban planning, economic development, public policy or related field is also applicable

The applicant must demonstrate a genuine interest in Ras Al Khaimah and the Gulf region

7. Stipends: The interns are allowed to have stipends for the work. This stipend assists in raising their standards of living, transport, and other expenses. Stipend rates differ from one project to another.

8. Feedback and Evaluation: Regular feedback is given to intern. It is accompanied by performance evaluation. This identifies if his or her progress towards implementing the project’s activities is fine. This feedback is very important for developing their career.
