Emerging artists worldwide in the first five years of active practice are invited to participate in the Tomorrow’ing: Visions of a Better Future prize, hosted by Saatchi Gallery in London. This year’s theme encourages artists to creatively respond to envisioning a better future. A total prize fund of £20,000 will be distributed among six winners, with five regional winners receiving £2,000 each and one overall winner receiving £10,000. The winning artists will exhibit their works at Saatchi Gallery, a recognized authority in contemporary art, from November 2024 to January 2025. The prize celebrates emerging artistic talent and aims to stimulate dialogue on visual arts as a medium for positive global and social change, offering exposure to artists worldwide. Eligible media include painting, drawing, illustration, photography, collage, 2D mixed-media, video, or film, with works executed since 1 January 2021. Submissions must be stable for shipping and installation on a walled surface. This opportunity seeks to inspire optimism and address pressing global issues through artistic expression.
Eligibility:
The Tomorrow’ing: Visions of a Better Future prize is open to emerging artists worldwide who are within the first five years of their active practice. Applicants must be aged 18 or over. Each artist can submit only one application, with a maximum of five artworks. The artworks must be the original work of the applicant and executed since 1 January 2021. The accepted media include painting, drawing, illustration, photography, collage, 2D mixed-media, video, or film. The works must be stable, capable of being shipped, and suitable for installation on a walled surface. Artists must apply within the region associated with their country of residence. The deadline for entries is 17 July 2024, 11:59 UK BST.
