Admission to Master’s Programme in Human Rights and Democratistaion in the Caucasus/ Global Campus Caucasus

Open to: all interested applicants who hold bachelor’s Degree or a Degree equivalent to Bachelor’s. Priority will be given to applicants from post-Soviet states
Scholarship: full scholarships for up to 20 students from target countries for 2024/25 academic year. The Scholarship covers tuition fee, travel expenses and provides modest stipend to cover living expenses.

Description

The MA in Human Rights and Democratization in the Caucasus/Global Campus Caucasus  is one-year interdisciplinary graduate programme in the region that provides knowledge and thorough training in the fields of human rights and democratization. The main aim of the programme is to support promotion of democracy, rule of law and good governance, together with strengthening Human rights protection in the region of Post-Soviet States.

The Global Campus Caucasus is implemented by Yerevan State University, Armenia in partnership with Taras Shevchenko National university of Kyiv – Ukraine, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University – Georgia, American University of Central Asia – Kyrgyzstan and Moldova State University – Moldova.

Eligibility

The Global Campus Caucasus programme is open to all interested applicants who hold bachelor’s Degree or a Degree equivalent to Bachelor’s. The applicant shall be fluent in English, have professional and/or research interest in human rights and democratization issues. Academic and/or professional experience in abovementioned fields is an asset.

Scholarship

Global Campus Caucasus programme offers up to 20 scholarships to cover tuition, travel expenses (to/from home country to Armenia, to/from home country to partner country and thesis defense travel), and monthly stipend for 8 months. Scholarships will be provided to resident and non-resident students of the programme.

How to apply?

The Application for the programme should be submitted online within the indicated periods. Alongside with the Application form, prospective students are required to submit necessary documents for the application package.

Application submission is conducted in two stages. Stage one is open from May 15 to June 28, 2024. Stage two is open from June 29 to August 16, 2024. The periods for evaluation of applications and interviews are June 29 – July 4; August 14 – 23. Interview dates will be communicated to shortlisted candidates.

  • A Curriculum Vitae (max 2 pages)
  • Scanned copy of passport
  • Motivation Letter (max 450-600 words)
  • Scholarship motivation letter (max. 500 words)
  • Thesis proposal (min. 750-1000 words)
  • Scanned University Diploma/s and Academic Transcript/s.
