Description

Three Dot Dash is a global youth initiative of We Are Family Foundation (WAFF). It is a social entrepreneur incubator and accelerator designed to amplify the work of young people making an extraordinary impact.

They are looking for the next global teen leaders who have identified a problem and a solution and have taken direct action.

WAFF was founded in 2002 as a response to 9/11. The founder, a legendary musician Nile Rodgers, wanted WAFF to be bigger than his world renown song, “We Are Family”. WAFF answered with a movement…Three Dot Dash.

We Are Family Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the visions of a global family by creating programs that promote cultural diversity while nurturing and mentoring the vision, talents and ideas of young people who are positively changing the world.

Selected leaders will attend the 11 Anual 2020 Just Peace Summit which will take place in New York city between March 27-April 3 2020.

Eligibility

Potential GTLs must meet ALL of the following qualifications and requirements:

  • Age 13-19 (at time of the Summit, March 27-April 3, 2020);

  • Project or organization addresses one or more basic human need(s);

  • Founder or co-founder of your own project or organization;

  • Committed to growing your work and impact now and in the future;

  • Already achieving tangible results;

  • Speak and write English proficiently;

  • Able to travel to the United States;

  • Participate during the entire Summit (no exceptions);

  • Be nominated by a qualified Nominator (SEE BELOW).

In order to apply, potential GTLs must be nominated by one of the following qualified Nominators:

  • Three Dot Dash Coalition partner;

  • GTL Alumni;

  • Mentor Alumni;

  • A staff member at an educational institution;

  • A member of the We Are Family Foundation staff;

  • A member of the We Are Family Foundation board;

  • A member of the Three Dot Dash Just Peace Summit team.

Benefits

All air/train travel, visa fees, hotel, meals and ground travel in NYC will be paid for by We Are Family Foundation for selected GTLs.
