Open to: citizens of the Visegrad Group (V4) countries, Czech, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland. Master and post-Master scholars and researchers who are citizens of Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro Serbia, and Ukraine can apply for a scholarship to study in the Visegrad countries
Scholarships: the amount of the support is 2,300 EUR/semester for scholar + 1,500 EUR/semester for the host institution

Description

Visegrad scholarships support Master and post-Master students and researchers in all disciplines and in any language for up to four semesters at more than 190 higher education institutions across Central and Eastern Europe.

Master and post-Master scholars and researchers who are citizens of the Visegrad countries can apply for the scholarship to study at any accredited university/institute within V4 and in Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, and Ukraine.

Master and post-Master scholars and researchers who are citizens of Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro Serbia, and Ukraine can apply for a scholarship to study in the Visegrad countries.

Eligibility

Visegrad Scholarships are provided for study/research projects specified in the submitted application form. The country of citizenship and permanent residence shall be different from the host country. The applicant’s home and host university/institute must be different, i.e. the previous level of university studies must be completed in a country other than where the applicant applies for studies. The distance between the home university and host university/institute as well as between the permanent residence and the host university/institute must be above 150 km. Citizenship of the applicant and/or permanent residence of the applicant must differ from the country of host university/institute. The applicant, who is already a holder of master degree, is not eligible to apply for the scholarship to cover master studies. An applicant for the scholarship support shall submit no more than one application within one deadline. In the event that the applicant submits more than one application, the Fund shall consider the first submitted.

Scholarship

The amount of the support is  EUR 2,300/semester for scholar + EUR 1,500/semester for the host institution.

How to apply?

Your application must be submitted online via My Visegrad by March 15, 12.00 (noon) and must include the following enclosures (in English or accompanied by a certified translation):

If applying for Master’s scholarship, you have to upload a scan of a valid identification document, transcript of records for the last 2 duly terminated semesters and the letter of acceptance from the host university that is not older than 3 months.

If applying for Post-Master’s scholarship, you have to upload a scan of a valid identification document, letter of acceptance including a detailed working plan of the study/research from the host university that is not older than 3 months
