Description
The Program Officer, CS, role will work closely with and report to the Chief, Country Support. This role will provide programming & select logistical support relating to the execution of his duties. This role is based in Brussels, Belgium.
Additionally, this role will work closely with the civil society members of the Steering Committee, and especially the co-chairs, to enable their strategic leadership role in OGP. (S)he will specifically support them in helping them prepare for the governance and civil society engagement activities.
Lastly, the Program Officer, CS, will also support the work of the Country Support team by providing operational and project management support, inclusive of planning and reporting, budgeting work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist the Chief, Country Support (40%)
Steering Committee Support (30%)
Support the Country Support Team Operations (30%)
Eligibility
- Advanced degree in relevant field (e.g. development, political science, or international relations);
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience including at least 3 years either in government or building civil society coalitions, brokering technical cooperation and partnerships and organizing training workshops and events.
