Description

During the Third Millennium, the Latin expression “ex libris” is much more a thought-tag than a symbol or seal that indicates the owner of a book. In the modern world of technology, a clear drawing is like a kaleidoscope of grace and creative freedom. Perhaps for that reason, but for many other reasons, the 2005 Luben Karavelov Regional Library did not accidentally “give birth” to the idea of creating a unique international competition for ex libris. The apologist of the idea is the Library. The competition is organized by the Regional Library ‘Lyuben Karavelov’ in Ruse, Bulgaria.

Eligibility

The competition is open to anyone.

The competition theme is EX LIBRIS – EX CINEMA. All graphics techniques are eligible.

  • Image size: no larger than 130 x 130 mm
  • Paper size: no larger than 150 x 210 mm

Award

The winner will receive a cash prize of EUR 500.
