“Labor Europa” in Osnabrück, Germany

Description

As part of the European Cultural Heritage Year 2018, the sites of the Peace of Westphalia, the cities Osnabrück and Münster, invite young people from the other locations of the European Cultural Heritage Sites to take part in the meeting and participation project “Labor Europa” in Osnabrück, Germany, from the 16th to 26th of August 2018. The joint work takes place in five so-called laboratories in the five areas visual arts, history, performance, music and media, which have the character of workshops and in which, speaking figuratively, something is divided and “cultures” grow.

The participants deal with the history and present of Europe and describe the future of Europe. The communication language is English. The individual laboratories have 8-15 participants and are accompanied by professional partners such as the Theater Osnabrück, the Institute for Music, the Society for contemporary arts Osnabrück, the Museum of Cultural History or the Medienhaus Osnabrück. The results of the laboratory work will be presented in public on the 24th and 25th of August 2018.

Eligibility

  • Youth between 18 and 25 years old;
  • Young musicians or visual artists;
  • Anyone who has experience with theatre;
  • Anyone interested in European history or digital media and games.

Costs

The costs for your arrival and departure, accommodation in a hotel and meals will be fully funded by the organizers.

*As security, each participant must pay a participation fee of 100 EUR in advance.
