The University of Ottawa is pleased to announce the availability of PhD Position for the applicants from all over the world.The university seeking a highly qualified and motivated PhD graduate student to work on a research project titled “Modulation of human gut microbiota using psychobiotics” led by Dr. Riadh Hammami.
The aim of the position is to provide an opportunity for young researchers.

Eligibility
- The candidate should hold an M.Sc. degree in environmental microbiology/microbial ecology or a related field;
- Previous exposure to and experience with basic microbiology and molecular biology techniques is essential;
- Experience in microbe isolation and identification, standard molecular methods, and fermentation is preferred;
- Team-orientation and excellent communication skills are expected.
Fellowship
The PhD candidate will be employed for 3 years starting from January 2018. The successful candidate will run for an annual fellowship of 25,000 USD.
