Deadline: 10 October 2016
Open to: audio-visual journalists and media professionals from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine
Prize: a trophy and a cash prize

Description

The ADAMI Media Prize was created to encourage audio-visual journalists and media professionals in the EU Eastern Partnership countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine) to cover the themes of migration, integration, and cultural diversity.

ADAMI promotes their work by recognizing and rewarding exemplary programmes that focus on these themes and which bring them to the public through TV, online, and other medium.

They believe that mass media plays a significant role in shaping public opinion and attitudes, and that by showcasing diversity in society, they contribute towards peaceful coexistence between groups.

Through this prize, they want to increase media interest in promoting cultural diversity, to build a network of broadcasters, TV programme managers, and filmmakers in Eastern Europe who are working towards this goal, and to create a platform connecting them with their counterparts in the EU.
