Description

The Visegrad Literary Residency Program is run in part­ner­ship of Villa Decius in Cracow with Institut umění in Prague, Petőfi Irodalmi Múzeum in Budapest and Literárne infor­mačné cen­trum in Bratislava. Each of the partners is respon­si­ble for orga­niz­ing the stay and secur­ing accom­mo­da­tion and work space for a group of four lit­er­ary res­i­dents (one from each V4 coun­try), who will be work­ing on their indi­vid­ual lit­er­ary projects and also par­tic­i­pat­ing in lit­er­ary events orga­nized by the host. The program’s 2016 edi­tion will enable 32 lit­er­ary res­i­dents to carry their 6-week/3-month projects in the four host insti­tu­tions in either given period: May 1–June 12 (Compact Spring Edition), or September 1–November 30 (Regular Autumn Edition).

Stipend

Selected res­i­dents will receive a stipend of €1,125 (Compact Spring Edition), or €2,250 (Regular Autumn Edition).

The pro­gram is addressed to writ­ers of fic­tion and non-fiction, poets, essay­ists, crit­ics as well as lit­er­ary trans­la­tors, pub­li­cists and jour­nal­ists.
