Description
The TCCM Master is meant to prepare experts in using and developing molecular sciences computational techniques to either work with innovative pharmaceutical, petrochemical and new-materials industries or to follow future doctoral studies in Chemistry, Physics, Life or Material Sciences.
It is articulated in 120 ECTS credits and can be accessed by students having a Bachelor in Chemistry, in Physics or in Material Science. Other scientific bachelors can also be accepted (provided that the student integrates his/her preparation as recommended by the local Tutor). The TCCM European Master is an initiative of 25 european institutions from 8 different European countries.
The Theoretical Chemistry and Computational Modelling (TCCM) Master is an initiative of 25 European institutions from 6 different European countries that aims to:
- Establish a European standard for research-oriented studies in TCCM;
- Prepare experts in the use and development of computational techniques in molecular sciences, to work with innovative pharmaceutical, petrochemical and new-materials industries;
- Prepare students for doctoral studies in Chemistry, Physics, Life or Material Sciences;
- Promote international mobility of research students;
- Offer to students from a wide range of countries (including non-European ones) a highly qualified title at the post-bachelor level.
Eligibility
- Bachelor in Chemistry, Physics or Material Science or any equivalent level if authorized by the legislation of the corresponding European Country. Other scientific bachelors can be accepted, provided the student takes complementary leveling courses, under the supervision of his/her local Tutor;
- Internationally recognized English proficiency certificate equivalent to a TOEFL score of at least 213/500, 65/120 or 513/677, an IELTS score of at least 6, First Cambridge Certificate or B2.
Scholarship
Partner Country scholarships (former category A)
- EUR 2,000 per year for travel costs + EUR 1,000 for installation costs for scholarship holder resident of a Partner Country whose location is situated less than 4000 km;
- EUR 3,000 per year for travel costs + EUR 1,000 for installation costs for scholarship holder resident of a Partner country whose location is situated at 4000 km or more;
- EUR 1,000 per month for the entire duration of the study programme (24 months maximum).
Programme Country scholarships (former category B)
- EUR 1,000 per year per scholarship holder resident of a Programme Country for travel costs;
- EUR 1,000 per month for the entire duration of the study programme (24 months maximum).
How to apply?
Interested students should fill and submit the corresponding online application form. The required supporting documentation shall be added to the online application form:
- Motivation letter;
- A European format CV;
- A copy of the whole passport (all the pages, even those which are in blank). If your passport doesn’t contain the information about the last five years you should also have to send a copy of the previous one. If you don’t have a passport, then you can send the copy of your id card;
- A proof of place of residence (residence certificate and certificate from the candidate’s place of work, study or training);
- A copy (translated into English) of university diplomas;
- A copy (translated into English) of the transcript of study results;
- A certified copy of the English test results (for those students who have followed their studies in English, they can provide a letter issued by their institutions in which this fact is explained);
- Two recommendation letters and references;
- The letter of Compliance signed and scanned.
