Call for Projects for the 5th International Conference on Holocaust Research

Description

The German Federal Agency for Civic Education in cooperation with the European University of Flensburg and the Humboldt University of Berlin are calling for proposals for exemplary and innovative education projects dealing with the subject of the 5th International Conference on Holocaust Research “Afterwards. An experiential history of the Holocaust 1945 – 1949” in educational practice or in historical-political education.

They are looking for creative and innovative projects that establish a connection between an examination of the Holocaust and the transfer of findings to political- historical education work today. The winners will be invited to present their project to a wide specialist audience on 25 and 26 January 2015 at dbb forum, Berlin.

Eligibility

Institutes, educational establishments, NGOS, initiatives, memorial sites and individuals from Europe who have carried out corresponding projects or developed materials are eligible to participate in the Conference. Projects that are in the development stage or nor yet completed are also eligible for entry.

Costs

The organizers will cover travel costs for up to two project managers based on the “General terms and conditions for assumption of travel costs”. They will provide also meals and drinks for the duration of the conference.
