Description
The New Media Writing Prize showcases exciting and inventive stories that integrate a variety of formats, platforms, and digital media. They are looking for good storytelling (fiction or non-fiction) written specifically for delivery and reading/viewing on a PC or Mac, the web, or a hand-held device such as an iPad or mobile phone. It could be a short story, novel, poem, documentary or transmedia work using words, images, film or animation with audience interaction.
Eligibility
The Competition is free and open to any person regardless their age or nationality.
Prize
The winning work will receive one or more of the following three prizes:
- Best Student New Media Writing Prize: a paid work-placement of 3 months at Unicorn Training, Bournemouth, UK;
- Best New Media Writing Prize: £1000, where the winner may also be a student;
- The People’s Choice: £250, where the winner may also be winner of one of the above awards.
Application
Each entry should be submitted by email to entries@newmediawritingprize.co.uk by Friday 28th November 2014 by 12 noon GMT. Closing date for students is Friday 12th December 2014 12 noon GMT.
