Description
In 2013 Cafébabel launched monthly editorial series, ‘EUtopia on the ground’, which aims to raise consciousness about what Europe really is. Now they need three journalists (print or video) and one photographer to join this team: you will be writing on the three following topics with the support of their local team:
- Youth unemployment and mobility in Europe
- Youth initiatives in Vienna
- Europhilia/Europhobia and Euroscepticism
You will be writing about projects, ideas, stories, initiatives and angles that will grab people and make them see what Europe is all about.
Eligibility
Journalists and photographers under 35 years old who live in a European country.
Costs
- Transport: a sum of up to 280 euros is reimbursed
- Living costs: 220 euros is reimbursed
- Accommodation: the team will stay in a hostel paid for by Cafébabel

Journalists: Send your CV and two three-line EUTOPIA pitches, linked with the European elections, youth mobility and unemployment, ideas for interviewees etc…
Photographers: Send a CV, a portfolio and two pitches for photo gallery stories in Vienna.
