Description
K.A.I.R. Košice Artist in Residence, based in Slovakia, is developing an international artist-in-residency-program for emerging artists from all over the world and out of all artistic disciplines and expressions.
Cinefil Košice aka Košice film cartel in collaboration with K.A.I.R. are announcing an open call for a filmmaker residency. The chosen author will spend ten weeks creating a film whose theme should in a creative way relate to the city of Košice. The residency will start on October 10 and will end on December 12. The final film will be presented in Košice at the end of the program.
Eligibility
The residency is open to filmmakers commit to create an audiovisual artwork during their stay in Košice in these categories:
- Fiction film;
- Documentary film;
- Animated film;
- Dance film.
Fellowship
The fellowship will cover:
- Stipend of 1500€;
- Travel reimbursement up to 200€;
- Accommodation;
- Studio and technical support;
- Production and local support.
Application

- CV;
- Portfolio consisting of 5 finished works (in case they are online, they only require the links);
- Short motif or a theme of the film you wish to realise in Košice.
The deadline to apply is 8 September 2014 . Results will be announced on September 15.
