Description
English Academy is a project organized by AIESEC, the largest student run organization in the world, within the Global Community Development Program. A Global Community Development Program (GCDP) experience is an opportunity for students who want to volunteer and who desire a cross – cultural experience, create positive impact and seek for personal development.
The English Academy will be held for 6 weeks, starting on 10 March 2014 in Tbilisi, Georgia. The trainee will be conducting language classes in groups of 10 people (high school students, students and adults) on different language level (basic, intermediate, advanced). Intern should work for 30 hours per week including preparation for classes, checking tests and other activities. Working hours will be from 11:00 to 18:00.
It is expected that after the language course participants will improve their language skills and be inspired and motivated to continue learning foreign languages. The trainee will have a chance to work in multicultural environment and to develop training, public speaking and project management skills.
Eligibility
The projects is open to students and recent graduates (not over 2 years of graduation), preferably with minimum undergraduate degree, with a background in project management, foreign languages education, subjects education.
Team management and presentation skills are required, leadership and project management skills are preferred.
Benefits
You will be provided with food and accommodation (they will rent a flat for you, accommodation fee is 50$). Intern will get a welcome package and a phone card.
Application
In order to volunteer, you must contact the Local Committee of AIESEC in your area (find HERE) in order to register on www.myaiesec.net. Then they will conduct small interview with you, if passed successfully the technical details will be arranged and you can start the internship within The Global Community Development Program. Deadline for application is 28 February 2014.
