Description
Pa Fokus Magazine is searching for individuals who love translating, writing and publishing. The magazine is new, and has started to walk in her own steps, but it requires the love and the trust of every one of us to deliver its goals to the society. They operate in three main premises:
- That we find ourselves in a situation when we have lack of good open source education, social, and other materials online for people and especially Albanians. Thus texts can be only in English or Albanian.
- Secondly our magazine is open, and of every ones that helps and delivers a contribution with short stories, personal stories, social –photos, drawings, poetry and all kind of art that Im not mentioning to the list right now.
- They do not promise to publish anything at any conditions if the author doesn’t pass some editorial reviews, so then he can decide to make a preview of what the editor think about the winner of every month contest. But they do promise to try and make most of the work that they will receive go viral on social networks through their page Pa Fokus online.
Their goals: With time to create a well based magazine as medium and online publishing house as mean, to provide everyone with the opportunity to show to the world what he/she thinks of it. We do believe in every one of you voices.
Pa Fokus Magazine will only publish things relates to one of this categories:
- Written articles, translated, movie reviews, book reviews – letters, art works from different writers (we encourage people from Albanian Diaspora to do that in either of their primary or secondary Languages they know)
- Short Stories, personal stories, poetry, (*a sub category which the magazine strongly encourages youngsters to try is previews of books they’ve written themselves and want to promote; in either of the two languages)
- Complete photo shot to one of the photographers chosen to be covered for the month issue, paintings, drawings (they’ll be posted immediately under the authors name at the page profile on Facebook, and the most liked will be published on the magazines next issue)
Benefits
Pa Fokus Magazine is in lack of financial means which means that they cannot offer you anything (financially) besides the publishing service in the magazine and the preview from our editors. Why we do this?
Because we love green, we love open source education, software and art, we love to promote youngsters who these days find it difficult to figure out what they want to do with their lives, we love activism, and we admire people that show us their talent.
Eligibility
Everyone who can write in English or Albanian, Wants to deliver his statement about green and open source education, topics relevant to Albanian writers, and everyone else who’s able to write in English (notice that we as much as they want to cover other languages, and it might look arbitrary, it’s impossible since the magazine itself is based in Albania, and surely most of its readership will be from Albania. But still they deeply apologize for that)
