Jauntaroo is vacation search engine whose mission is to match travelers with global vacation destinations. This Vacation Matchmaker offers the Best Job Around the World, literally! They are looking for an adventurous person challenged to discover new places, cultures and people and transform their experiences into content for Jauntaroo by becoming the Jauntaroo’s Chief World Explorer (CWE). The duties of the CWE will be:
- Capturing digital photography and videos for webisodes
- Aptitude with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.)
- Extensive international travel for extended periods of time
- Fulfill administrative responsibilities from a home office when not traveling
- Schedule and coordinate with destinations on upcoming visits
- Perform local “VolunTourism” activities
- Represent Jauntaroo as their global ambassador
- Participate in Jauntaroo corporate and media events as required
Eligibility
The position is open for individuals that are 18 years and over as of August 12, 2013 and are able to obtain an appropriate visa that will allow them to work in the United States. Applicant should also have the following skills:
- Strong communication and writing abilities
- Eager to capture local cultures, foods and activities
- Enduring of long, flights to exotic destinations
- Able to capture content and experiences that makes people smile
- Always ready for adventure and new experiences
- A naturally engaging, personable, outgoing and descriptive story teller
- Comfortable on camera; using digital camera equipment
- Respectful and humble both on and off on camera
- Generous of spirit in helping others
- Acts responsibly, professionally and ethically
- Exhibits patience when faced with challenges
Benefits
The successful applicant will receive two six-month, consecutive employment contracts approximately in the period from January 2014 through December 2014 . The gross annual wage is USD $100,000 and it is inclusive of superannuation, allowances, benefits and an amount of applicable income tax which shall be withheld. The wage will be paid on a bi-weekly basis during the period of employment. Accommodation during business travel will be provided by Jauntaroo or its nominee during the period of employment.
