Description
The InnoApps, a four-month pan-European challenge, invites young European app developers to develop a Windows Phone application under the theme of social inclusion. The application should focus on where the biggest difference can be made. In order to get you inspired the organizers have suggested three different topics:
- E-SKILLS: The success of Europe depends on digital knowledge. Most jobs nowadays require some competency in information technology, and workers who have the necessary e-skills achieve a significantly higher rate of employment. Mobile applications can help bridge this gap between the skills required by employers and those mastered by European youth.
- ENTREPRENEURSHIP: Openness to innovation is what young people can bring to society – building a culture that encourages innovative new ventures and supports the individuals who launch them. Starting-a business leads us on a challenging but rewarding journey during which we acquire valuable experience and knowledge. Learning how to identify or create opportunities, acquire resources, and build a team can ultimately lead to creating economic and social value. Your app will be accelerated to help you grow it into a new business!
- E-PARTICIPATION: E-participation means sharing knowledge among all European regions and including the whole society in the decision-making process. Whether it’s in your local town or across the European Union, can you think of a smarter way for citizens to share knowledge and engage with each other?

How to apply?
In order to apply you should submit the application form given HERE and a short video (< 3 min.) describing your app idea. This can be accompanied by a presentation (maximum 6 slides). Applications should be submitted no later than 8 September 2013.
