'Europe, I have something to tell you' Photo Competition

Description

In the framework of the 2013 European Year of Citizens, the PES Group in the Committee of the Regions (CoR) has launched on 1 March the sixth edition of its annual photo competition. The Competition is organised under the theme:  “Europe, I’ve got something to tell you” and challenges amateur photographers to capture in a photo their expectations from Europe. It might be about building Europe together, being a European citizen, or showing,  how you envisage your place in Europe. Find your inspiration HERE!

Eligibility

In order to enter the competition, you must fulfill the following conditions:

  • be resident in one of the 27 EU Member States (but participants of any nationality can enter);.
  • be 18 years old or older at the moment when you enter the competition;
  • Only one entry per participant is allowed;
  • For amateur only! Professional photographers and anyone else working in the field of photography will be automatically excluded from the competition.

Awards

  • First prize– A 3 days trip for two persons to Brussels, capital of Europe, and photographic/electronic equipment worth 2000€.
  • Second prize– A 3 days trip for two persons to Brussels, capital of Europe, and photographic/electronic equipment worth 1500€.
  • Third prize– A 3 days trip for two persons to Brussels, capital of Europe, and photographic/electronic equipment worth 500€.
  •  Prize of the public – NEW A 3 days trip for two persons to Brussels, the capital of Europe, and photographic/electronic equipment worth 500€.

How to enter

Before you enter the competition please take the following elements into account:

  1. Your photo must be uploaded in JPEG format at 800 pixels along the longest edge.
  2. Your image file must be named with your first and last names, following this structure: firstname-lastname.jpg (example: mary-smith.jpg).
  3. Keep a high resolution copy of your photo for later. Winners will have to supply a printable copy of their photo at 20×30 cm.
