International Federation of Liberal Youth IFLRY is now accepting nominations for the “Rights4Youth Summit: Access of Young People to Human Rights” to be held in Strasbourg, France, on 20-23 April 2013. This IFLRY event receives the support from the Youth Department of the Council of Europe and the ALDE Group in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

This summit is a great opportunity to get together with other young liberal leaders, taking a stand from the youth perspective of the rights-based approach. A brief report by each participant will be prepared beforehand and worked with during the summit. Together with a theme resolution made at the event, these will be the main outcomes. IFLRY will work with the outcomes in the liberal and the youth field in the future to come. Thus will the summit be of great importance to the Federation.

Eligibility

The Call is open to participants with great interest in the topic of human rights, who are willing to learn and after that act as multipliers in their own organizations and countries.

The working language will be English.

Costs

1. Participation fee:
100 EUR (includes accommodation and food)

2. Travel refund:
up to 80% of the travel cost will be given up to a maximum of;

  • 300 EUR (Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine)
  • 200 EUR (all remaining Council of Europe member states)
  • 500 EUR (those applying outside the Council of Europe area)

Before the Summit each of the participants will prepare a brief report on how the state of access of young people to human rights in their own countries.
