Description
Universum University College is offering eight (8) scholarships and assistantships for international students in our MA in Management (Finance and Management specialisations) commencing in November 2012. In addition, students can join the program for a semester or two as part of their study abroad / exchange program.
Universum University College is an accredited higher education provider in Kosovo, with the accreditation conducted by International experts. It is renowned for its international outlook and entrepreneurial profile and is the only higher education institution in the Balkans approved by Edexcel to offer internationally recognized academic and vocational qualifications. In addition to several international and local partnerships, Universum has entered into an articulation agreement with University of Middlesex in the UK where students can progress into their final year of a Middlesex undergraduate degree.
About the programme
The MA in Management is the flagship program of Universum, with a diverse international and local student body, most of whom in senior management positions in Kosovo and abroad. It is an accredited 120 ECTS Master program offered in a blended learning format with a combined face-to-face and online delivery sessions and delivered in English by world class faculty from renowned schools such as Copenhagen Business School, Rotterdam School of Management, University of Sussex and Winchester University. The program can be finished between 18-24 months and is designed to provide opportunities for those interested in acquiring management skills and
knowledge in a developing context. The first year of the program consists of five core courses in Management while in the second year students take four specialisation units and a Master dissertation/Capstone Project. In addition, students work and intern for local companies and institutions as part of their study projects and provide short term consultancies tocompanies, social enterprises and not-for-profits.
Scholarship/Assistantship
In order to create a diverse student body, Universum is offering the following assistantships/scholarships to international students:
The assistantship covers the full tuition fees for the program (7,200 euro) and provides a monthly salary of 200 euro to the candidates for 15 months. Assistants are required to work 20 hours a week as an undergraduate teaching or research assistant, tutor, academic adviser or do administrative work in one of the offices or departments (i.e. International Education and Study Abroad Office).
In addition to the Assistantships, Universum offers six scholarships. The scholarship covers 25-100% of tuition fees for two years, based on need and merit. Scholarship holders are obliged to volunteer in college or community projects for up to 200 hours during two years.
You may also apply for one or two semester as part of your study abroad program. Please direct to the contact persons in order to inquire about Study Abroad or Exchange placement.

- TOEFL, or IELTS, or Anglia Ascentis, or Cambridge Proficiency ExamResults

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a Skype interview while the final decision on selection will be communicated by September 26, 2012. Classes will start on November 5, 2012.
