About the contest
The Children’s Eyes On Earth International Youth Photography Contest 2012 is a great opportunity for you to raise awareness about important environmental issues, as seen through YOUR eyes! We hope you’ll enter the Contest with your photographs on the themes I Love Nature and I Fear Pollution, to share your experiences and help promote an understanding of some of the challenges facing our planet. The Contest, along with the following international Festival and Exhibition, is a great platform to show your photographs, which will inspire families, business people, decision-makers, politicians and others around the world to take action. Who can enter?
The Contest is open to residents of all countries. Entrants must be aged 17 or under at the time of entry. If you are under 16, you must have your parent or legal guardian’s consent to upload images onto the Children’s Eyes On Earth website. Candidates first need to register and create a profile HERE and afterwards to upload their two photographs.
Timeline
- The Children’s Eyes On Earth International Youth Photography Contest 2012 will begin 15 June 2012.
- The deadline for all entries is 11.59pm (GMT) on 5 September 2012.
- A panel of International Jury and Advisory Board members will be reviewing entries from 6 September 2012.
- The Festival and Exhibition will begin the first week of October 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Contest prizes
1st Prize: SLR Camera, a laptop computer, a photo printer
2nd Prize: SLR Camera, iPad, a photo printer
3rd Prize: SLR Camera and a photo printer
Your Choice Prize: SLR camera and a photo printer
The three winners accompanied by a legal guardian will travel to Baku and participate in the Festival. The three winners will have a one day workshop with Reza in Baku.
