Description

The Economic Forum of Young Leaders in Nowy Sącz is a meeting of young elite from Europe and a venue for discussion about important processes in the world as well as challenges for young generations of politicians, economists and leaders of NGOs. Forum gives room for debate about the future of the European Union and its relation with neighbouring countries. Each year, Forum engages over 250 young leaders of political, economic, social, and non-governmental organisations from the European Union, the Balkans, Eastern Europe and the Caucasus, from over 42 European countries, to come to Poland to Nowy Sącz.
Young leaders from all over the Europe meet in Poland to create ideas for the future of Europe. They are warmly invited  to participate in the 7th Economic Forum of Young Leaders which will take place between 3rd and 7th of September 2012 in Nowy Sącz (near Kraków), Poland.

Eligibility

The training welcomes all young people aged 18-30. The minimum criterion is knowledge of English at communicative level and engagement in a political, civic, social or economic NGO or institution/organisation.
If candidate meets these standards, further his his/her: experience in work in civic, political and economic areas, additional experience gained in different seminars and courses, current involvement in political, social, civic NGOs and other organisations are being assessed. In the process of selection of participants , the organizers require to form the most diverse group concerning geographical, gender, ethnic and language aspect.

Venue

The Economic Forum of Young Leaders is organized by the European Meeting Centre – Nowy Staw Foundation, the Economic Forum in Krynica and the Foundation for the Development of the Education System – Polish National Agency of the Youth in Action Programme. It will take place in Nowy Sącz (near Kraków), Poland, from 3-7 September 2012. A four day programme of the Forum involves panel discussions, workshops as well as receptions and business evenings. The venue of the conference is determined by a partner programme – the Economic Forum in Krynica. Subsequently, outstanding politicians, economists, businessmen and heads of the countries, governments and corporations have an opportunity to meet young leaders in Nowy Sącz and to share experience, knowledge and to answer questions bothering young people.
Due to financial limits, reimbursement of travel costs will be possible only for some participants.
Costs up to € 300,will be covered, if the participants are coming to the event from outside of Poland by means of: bus, 2nd class train, low-cost airline, airline with APEX tariff (it means a cheap airline ticket, booked at least two weeks before departure/ Economy restricted).Participants from Poland’s neighbouring countries or with short distance to Poland has limited travel allowance of maximum € 150. These are: Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania, Latvia, Hungary. 
For participants from Poland travel costs are not covered.  The official language of The Forum is English. All sessions of The Forum are translated into Polish, English and Russian. For more information go here.

All participants qualified for travel, board and accommodation costs coverage will be requested for paying participation fee in amount of 30 EUR. Participation fee for participants not qualified for travel, board and accommodation costs coverage is 150 EUR. Participation in The Forum is possible after submitting application form and going through recruitment process.
