of: philosophy, theology, religious studies, anthropology, history and
related disciplines
Scholarship: 2000 $/month (gross)

Description

The Copernicus Center Scholarship for Postdoctoral Researchers, funded by The John
Templeton Foundation, is offered to individuals who hold a PhD degree (or equivalent) in the
fields of: psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience, philosophy, anthropology and related
disciplines. Preferred research areas:
(1) Philosophy of cognitive neuroscience,
(2) Normative dimension of the mind,
(3) Emergence of normative orders,
(4) The limits of scientific explanation in cognitive science and related disciplines.
The Copernicus Center offers one scholarship in the aforementioned fields.

Eligibility

The application process is open to individuals who hold a PhD degree (or equivalent) in the fields of: psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience, philosophy, anthropology and related disciplines.

Requirements:

  • A copy of the PhD diploma in the fields of: psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience, philosophy, anthropology and related disciplines.
  • Additional PhD, MA, MS, BA, BS diplomas (additional points).
  • Outline of the post-doctoral project.
  • Very good or excellent language skills (English).
  • Academic publications and talks at academic conferences.
  • Participation in research grants.

Scholarship

The scholarship in the amount of $2000 gross will be awarded for 12 months (starting date October 2012).

  1. Monthly reports on the progress of the postdoctoral project.
  2. Preparation of 2 research papers and 2 talks during the scholarship.
