Description

Are you a young environmentalist actively engaged in nature conservation and the protection of biodiversity? Are you interested in meeting with like-minded people from around the world and becoming a part of a global network? You are planning to participate in this year’s UN Biodiversity summit in Hyderabad, India (CBD COP11) and would like to join forces with other youth who have similar plans? Then this is your chance to make history!

From August 21st to 27th 2012 NAJU will host thegybn kick-off conference in Berlinand bring together 35 young environmentalists from all parts of the world to establish theglobal youth biodiversity network. Biodiversity loss doesn’t stop at national borders!

This is your chance to get connected with like-minded young people and youth organizations from all over the world. Be a part of the solution and help to halt the loss of biodiversity.

Venue

The kick-off conference will take place in Berlin, Germany from August 21st to 27th 2012.

Costs

Selected participants will be asked for: 50 EURO participation fee. The fee will be paid cash at the conference.

Board and lodging will be provided. Up to 75 % of the travel costs can be reimbursed after handing in the original tickets. To avoid problems with the reimbursement: please contact Juliane.Rosin@NAJU.de BEFORE booking your tickets.

Eligibility

The gybn kick-off conference in Berlin will bring together 35 young environmentalists from all parts of the world to establish the global youth biodiversity network. The participants must be between the ages of 18 and 34.

The number of participants is strictly limited and will be selected according to the application. NAJU will not be able to inform you about your participation before the 23th of May 2012.
