Description
This is a monthly stipend for degree students in international Master’s programs in English.
Programs:
The six Master’s curricula that students can apply to in year 2012 are as follows:
- Anthropology
- International Relations
- Communication Management
- Comparative Literature and Cultural Semiotics
- European Studies: Europeanization of Governance and Politics
- Interactive Media and Knowledge Environments
Granting of a stipend
The university DoRa council decides on the granting of the scholarship, pursuant to the following principles:
- the scholarship shall be granted to a first year master student with the best entrance result;
- if there are no first year master students’ applications for the curriculum within the quota, then the scholarship is allocated to a second year student who has collected at least 54 ECP in the framework of curriculum and who, in the ranking list, has the highest weighted average grade among the second year master students applying for the scholarship;
- if there are no applications submitted for the curriculum within the quota, the scholarship is given to a curriculum within the quota that has a large number of candidates, giving preference to first year master students.
Scholarship
The scholarship is 288 EUR per month and it is paid from 1 September to 30 June (10 months).
Eligibility
An eligible candidate is:

is not a resident of the Republic of Estonia (if the applicant is a first year master student);

has not exceeded the total period of stay of one year during the last three years (if the applicant is a first year master student) and will begin their studies in TU on 1st September 2012;

has collected at least 54 ECP in the framework of curriculum by the end of the first academic year (if the applicant is a first year master student);
- has a full study load and resides in Estonia during the period of scholarship acquisition;
- studies in a state-accredited curriculum that is fully taught in a foreign language;
- is not supported in his/her studies from other sources. The student confirms that he/she does not receive support from other sources.
Application
To apply for a scholarship:

an applicant must complete and send the DATA SHEET via e-mail and via post to International Student Adviser Ms. Maarja Liht (maarja.liht@tlu.ee) at the Academic Affairs Office by the 20th of May.
