Description
SISSA offers training fellowships to young candidates coming from non-European Union countries to participate in the entrance exams of the following Ph.D courses:

Eligibility
The School welcomes applications from young candidates coming from non European Union countries soon after completion of their undergraduate studies with a strong interest in research even if without previous specific experience. Before sending their request to participate in the “Excellence Program”, candidates will have to submit and complete their online application for the same PhD course(s).

Fellowship
Amount and duration of the fellowship
- Amount of the fellowship: € 1000,00 monthly net
- Duration of the fellowship: 3.5 months
The School will provide a pre-paid ticket of the maximum amount of 1.000,00 €. Should the cost of the
ticket exceed € 1.000,00, the difference will be deducted from the first instalment of the fellowship.
Application
Applications must reach the School by post or fax (in the last case a copy of an identity document will have to be included in the application) no later than 12.00 hrs. of 30th April 2012. Applications by e-mail will not be accepted.
Applications will be evaluated by a committee by the end of the month of the deadline. Admitted candidates will be promptly informed by email.
It is strongly suggested, that candidates applying to the fellowship starting on June 15th contact the Italian Embassy in their country well in advance in order to get an appointment to get the visa in time to reach SISSA for the beginning of the training.
